I am currently employed in Toms River Public Schools. Working at the primary level day in and out illustrates my comfort and ability to work with clients at this age. I have helped counsel little ones through a myriad of issues ranging from grief and loss, life transitions, social skills and emotional regulation.
After 10 years of counseling high school students, I’ve developed a deep passion for helping teenagers navigate identity development while connecting who they are today to their future goals and career aspirations. I’ve been fortunate to remain connected with many former students, supporting them through their collegiate experiences and transitions into young adulthood. I also have experience working with adults navigating job dissatisfaction, life transitions, and the process of building and refining meaningful relationships. My expertise in this area has provided opportunities to deliver professional development presentations at various high schools and facilitate parent coaching seminars, similar to the one featured in the flyer below.
Completed PSI's Components of Care Training
As a mother of two young boys, I firsthand recognize the need for mental health support during pregnancy and the postpartum period. After experiencing PPD myself in 2021, I sought therapy and then intentionally pursued extensive training in this area. Today, I help women navigate perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), drawing from both professional training and personal understanding.
This work can be comprehensive, as there are many challenges that may accompany PMAD symptoms. I can confidently support conversations around medication as it relates to pregnancy, postpartum and lactation, while also addressing breastfeeding and early motherhood struggles alongside mood or anxiety symptoms. Certified for employee RETAINment in Parental Leave Coaching, I enjoy working with new parents returning to the workforce. Together, we can develop individualized strategies and treatment plans that feel realistic for your life. It is not uncommon for sessions to incorporate partners, creating space to explore the impact of these experiences on relationships and family dynamics.
As someone who truly believes that it “takes a village,” I prioritize helping new mothers identify meaningful social supports and community resources while honoring the role of cultural differences and spirituality in their experience of motherhood.

Navigating postpartum struggles while returning to work was not easy, but my counselor created a safe and supportive space to talk through everything. Her empathy and guidance were incredibly reassuring and helped me move forward with more clarity and confidence. She was patient, understanding, and offered meaningful guidance that made a difficult transition feel much more manageable. Female, 35
"Bethany “Solo” Steele came into my life during a time when I truly needed guidance. She is kind, compassionate, and someone you can trust completely. From the very first conversation, I felt understood.
In one session alone, I talked for nearly an hour about everything from business matters to relationships and family challenges. Somehow, she followed every detail and reflected back insights that were exactly what I needed to hear. It wasn’t generic advice — it was thoughtful, personal, and deeply relevant.
Her heart, patience, and wisdom genuinely make a difference. I’m incredibly grateful for her support and would recommend her to anyone navigating a difficult season." Male, 32
