I believe counseling begins with building a strong alliance that creates trust and understanding allowing you, the client, to express yourself in an environment with no judgment. Whether you need to simply be heard or need help identifying obstacles and creating plans for change, I will meet you where you are and ensure you are an active stakeholder in not only creating your own therapeutic goals but building the skillset to make those goals attainable. I have an eclectic approach utilizing a variety of theoretical modalities in response to issues a client presents. Mainly I am most comfortably employing techniques found in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational interviewing. I also pride myself on continuing education and am dedicated to remaining up-to-date on current empirically supported and researched based best practices. This skill set allows me to comfortably work with topics, ranging but not limited to, depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, self-esteem, stress management, transition/life changes, social skills, addictive behaviors and women's issues.
I am eager to meet with you wherever you are emotionally and together we can constructively and purposefully work towards the changes you are looking for. We will start with a brief consultation, completion of paperwork and schedule our first appointment. Within the first three sessions you will not only ensure we are a good match but have identified and agree upon specific goals for you to work on during our time together.
As a Certified RETAIN Parental Leave Coach and trained therapist in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD), I offer an integrated approach to supporting working individuals through the transition to and beyond parenthood. I combine clinical expertise in perinatal mental health with practical, structured support around parental leave, workplace transitions, boundaries and returning to work. This unique background allows me to support the whole experience of becoming a working parent—not only emotional well-being but also the complex intersection of family, identity, career and work-life demands.
I LOVE officiating weddings. Since 2016 I have been finding joy in uniting people in marriage. Since then I have expanded my interests to strengthening couples and their overall relationship satisfaction through premarital counseling sessions. There are many benefits to premarital counseling like lower divorce rates, improved conflict resolution skills and overall higher quality and satisfaction in your marriage.
